Job Vacancy: Freelance Studio Assistant

At 69 drops studios, we provide a vibrant environment for top-tier photographers, art directors, and premium brands. We pride ourselves on being a bustling, full-service complex where creative professionals have everything they need to execute successful, seamless shoots.

The Opportunity

We are on the lookout for energetic, proactive individuals to join as Freelance Studio Assistants. Because you will often be the first point of contact for our clients, maintaining a calm, professional, and welcoming demeanor is absolutely essential.

This is a flexible, freelance position where your schedule is driven by client bookings. The more days you can offer, the more shifts we can send your way. If you are trying to get your foot in the door of the creative industry and want real, hands-on experience across multiple aspects of running a business, this is the perfect place to start.

What We Are Looking For

We provide on-site training, so no formal experience is required. However, to succeed in this fast-paced environment, you must be:

  • Highly motivated and eager to learn, bringing a positive attitude to every shift.
  • Adaptable to changing schedules and comfortable working long days, as overtime is common in this industry.
  • Ready for a physically active role that requires you to be on your feet and moving equipment.
  • A sharp communicator with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • A collaborative team player who is equally confident working independently.

What You Will Be Doing

Reporting to the Studio Managers, your day-to-day is dynamically split between office administration and the hands-on tasks required to ensure the detailed, professional maintenance of our space.

Manual Responsibilities:

  • Studio Turnarounds: Reorganizing, and tidying the studios during daily changeovers to ensure the space is pristine for the next client.
  • Maintenance & Upkeep: Carrying out general repairs and routine maintenance, including painting the coves/walls when required.
  • Heavy Lifting: Safely lifting, moving, and handling heavy photographic equipment.

Office & Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Client Management: Handling bookings and enquiries, as well as sourcing equipment and catering to meet specific client needs.
  • Financial Administration: Invoicing clients, chasing payments, and assisting with monthly financial updates.
  • Business Operations: Replenishing stock levels and ensuring the office runs smoothly.
  • Marketing & Social Media: Brainstorming and actioning new marketing ideas and social media content to help promote the business.

Availability Requirements: We are specifically looking for candidates who can commit to at least 3 days a week, including weekend availability.
