Recent Projects at 69 drops studios in London
At 69 drops studios, no two days are the same. Our East London location has become a creative hub where independent photographers and global brands alike bring their visions to life. Over recent months, we’ve had the privilege of hosting an incredible variety of projects that showcase just how versatile our 6,000 square feet of studio space can be.
Fashion Forward in Studio 2
Our largest studio, with its impressive 6 x 7m L-shaped infinity cove, recently played host to a stunning fashion editorial shoot. The photographer took full advantage of our west-facing windows for natural daylight shots, then seamlessly transitioned to our blackout capabilities for dramatic lighting setups. The open-plan layout allowed the creative team to work with multiple looks and setups without feeling cramped – something that’s become increasingly important as fashion shoots demand more dynamic storytelling.
Corporate Storytelling Comes Alive
Studio 1 has been particularly popular for corporate video projects, especially interview-style content. The combination of our fully equipped kitchen setup and professional lighting options creates authentic, lived-in backdrops that feel genuine rather than staged.
The ground-floor accessibility of Studios 3 and 4 has also proven invaluable for corporate clients bringing in larger crews and equipment. Our double-door loading bay makes setup and breakdown efficient – something every production manager appreciates.
Food Photography That Sizzles
Studio 1’s purpose-built kitchen continues to be a game-changer for food brands and culinary content creators. From cookbook photography to social media content for restaurant chains, our fully equipped space – complete with double ovens, induction and gas hobs, and professional-grade appliances – allows food stylists and photographers to work at the pace creativity demands.
The natural light from our large windows combined with the ability to black out completely means food photographers can achieve that perfect “golden hour” glow regardless of London’s unpredictable weather.
The East London Advantage
Being nestled between Whitechapel and Aldgate East stations, just minutes from Brick Lane and Shoreditch, gives our clients something extra. Many use the vibrant neighborhood as an extension of their shoot, incorporating the area’s iconic street art and urban textures into their projects.
Looking Ahead
What excites us most is seeing how different creatives use the same spaces in completely unique ways. A space that hosts a high-fashion beauty campaign one day becomes the backdrop for a tech startup’s promotional video the next. That versatility – combined with our commitment to keeping equipment well-maintained and providing knowledgeable support – is what keeps photographers and filmmakers returning.
Whether you’re planning an intimate portrait session or a large-scale commercial production, our four studios offer the flexibility to bring any creative vision to life. Because at 69 drops studios, we believe every project deserves a space that’s as dynamic as the ideas behind it.
